Detailed Procedures

1. 1Creating an Account/Signing in

   In order to take the BJT, you need to create an account or sign in if you already have an account. If you are taking a test for the first time and you do not have an account, please click "Create Account" (Go to Step 2).
   If you have taken the test before and have an account, use your registered username / password combination to sign in. (Go to Step 8).

2. 2Accept the Privacy Policy

   When you click "Create Account", a screen will appear asking you to accept the privacy policy. Confirm the policy thoroughly and if you accept the policy, proceed to the account creation screen.

3. 3Input Personal Information

   If you are going to create a new account, select "No, I do not have a BJT Candidate ID".
   Please input your name (using the same alphabetical spelling as on the identity documents that you will present at the time of your examination) and your email address.

4. 4Input Address

   Input your address (using the alphabet only). Any items marked with an * are compulsory.

5. 5Please input your contact details in Japanese (note 1).

   Please also fill in your address in Japanese. To do so, click on "Registered Japanese Address”. Then input your address. Any items marked with an * are compulsory.
   Finally, use "Desired Language/Communication Method" in order to select the language in which you wish to receive emails.
   (Note 1) A Japanese address only needs to be filled in if the address registered under [4] is in Japan. Addresses cannot be entered using a language other than the language of the country of residence.

6. 6Choose Username and Password

   Choose the username and password, as well as the secret questions and answers, you will use to sign into the online booking site.

7. 7Complete Account Registration

   Once the account has been registered, the confirmation screen will appear. In addition, you will receive a confirmatory email. It is possible to continue with the test booking from this screen (Go to Step 8).

8. 8Booking the Test

   From the list of tests, select the "BJT Business Japanese Test". Once this is clicked, the name of the test, the test fee and test language will be displayed (*the test fee displayed at this time is exclusive of tax).
   Now please answer the question "select your native language".

9. 9Search for a Test Center

   Select the desired test centers (up to a maximum of three locations).

10. 10Select the Examination Day

    On the calendar, click on the desired examination day.

11. 11Select the Start Time

    From the chart, click on the desired start time.

12. 12Confirm Reservation Details

    Confirm the selected test name, date and time and test center.

13. 13Confirm Personal Information (Name)

    Confirm that the full name displayed matches the full name that is shown on the personal identification that will be presented on the day of the test.

14. 14Agreed to the Test Policies

    Be sure to confirm the Test Policy, which summarizes all of the issues that must be borne in mind with relation to the test. After confirming acceptance of the policy, move on to the next screen.

15. 15Input Payment Information

    The information to be entered will depend on the choice of payment method.

    <Credit Card Payment>
    Please enter your credit card information.

    <Use of Vouchers*>
    Enter the voucher number and click on “Apply.”

    <Bank Transfer (only applicable within Japan)>
    Prior to the start of the reservation procedure, please contact Pearson VUE customer service by phone.

    *Vouchers are tickets for examinations that can be purchased before the reservation procedure.

16. 16Confirm Booking Details

    Confirm the date, time and place of the booking. If there are no errors, click on "Finalize Booking Details”.

17. 17Receive Information Confirming Reservation Details

    After finalizing the reservation, the details of the booking will be displayed. An email containing the booking details will also be sent to your registered email address.
